Carissa Barrett

Carissa joined Mouton's in 2012 and enjoys the variety that comes from working with guests who want something different throughout the day. She especially enjoys transformational haircuts and dimensional color, as well as the creative and technical thinking required to solve challenging hair concerns.

Before beginning, Carissa works with each guest to establish a clear desired outcome and an honest understanding of the time, maintenance, and financial investment required to support it. Once the plan is agreed upon, the guest can relax while Carissa focuses on the work.

During the consultation, Carissa pays attention to both verbal and nonverbal communication. She listens carefully to what the guest says, observes what may be more difficult to express, and looks for the frustrations behind the requested change. This helps her address not only how the guest wants the hair to look, but also what has not been working for them.

Guests can expect Carissa to approach their hair with confidence, thoughtful problem-solving, and clear expectations. She enjoys a challenge and is committed to finding a direction that feels both exciting and realistic.
